The Colne Valley Youth Orchestra
Encouraging young musicians from the Colchester and surrounding area in Essex to meet on a regular basis to rehearse as a Youth Orchestra and give concerts, some for parents and friends and some public concerts, for the benefit first and foremost of these young people and for the general pleasure of those attending.

Come and Try event happening on 20th Feb The Colne Valley Youth Orchestra Get Involved. Founded in 1981 the Colne Valley Youth Orchestra was set up in order to provide an ideal opportunity for young musicians from the surrounding areas to express themselves musically in a friendly noncompetitive environment free from the stress of auditions and safe in the knowledge that while they are making music they will also be making friends and having fun. The aim of the orchestra has always been to afford musical and social opportunities to youngsters aged 718 no matter what their background. Many CVYO members have since gone on to become professional musicians.
