Primary aim is to care for the beauty, history and character of Tiverton Town and its environs. Motto - Watch & Ward. Organise range of lectures, information plaques, heritage walks and social activities. Keep in close touch with the Town, Mid Devon District and Devon County Councils. Registered with Civic Trust and Outer SW Federation of Civic Societies and member of Devon Conservation Forum.

Tiverton Civic Society Caring about our Town Past Present and Future Welcome to our website. Our purpose is to explain who we are to describe what we are trying to achieve and to cordially invite you to join in our varied range of interesting activities. Our society dates back to 1968 when many local citizens became very concerned aboutthe adverse effect of some planning decisions on the town and the need to protect the local environment. It was therefore agreed to form a local civic society to safeguard the future development of Tiverton and its nearby surroundings.
