The Boys' Brigade Yorkshire and Humberside District is part of the Boys' Brigade, an international interdenominational Christian youth organisation founded in Glasgow in 1883 by Sir William Alexander Smith. This district is recognized as a UK charity.

The Boys' Brigade itself was established on October 4, 1883, and it is credited as the first voluntary uniformed youth movement in the world.
