About Safer Merthyr Tydfil Established in 1997 SMT is a registered charity experienced in providing services that enhance community safety. With a Waleswide remit SMT is recognised for its specialism in domestic abuse adopting a whole family approach providing advocacy support awareness and early intervention recognition and behaviour change. SMT also supports cohesive communities through services that promote integration and prevention of social isolation and actively encourage individuals to engage and participate. We work alongside public services Third Sector organisations and community groups to provide the best services for you.
