CHICHESTER STROKE CLUB
Chichester Stroke Club
Club meets every Thursday morning in an accessible hall in Chichester and offers recreational activities of speakers, slide shows, outings and games such as scrabble, cards and dominoes and social support network. Also weekly participation in exercise sessions and access to therapeutic hand massage.

Welcome A physiotherapist at St Richards Hospital first recognised the need for a stroke club in Chichester back in 1982 and under the support of the Chichester branch of the British Red Cross the Chichester Stroke Club was formed. It was a Wednesday evening social club for the disabled and their carers and offered brief respite. Out of the success of the evening club an additional session started on Thursday mornings and continued as a Red Cross club until the Chichester Stroke Club became an independent registered charity in 2001. The Club now meets every Thursday in the Newell Centre Tozer Way Chichester between 10 am and noon.
