Nordfriesen Die Nordfriesen sind eine der vier offiziell anerkannten nationalen Minderheiten in Deutschland und leben berwiegend entlang der Nordseekste SchleswigHolsteins in den Regionen Nordfriesland und auf der Insel Helgoland. Artikel 5 der schleswigholsteinischen Landesverfassung definiert die friesische Minderheit Volksgruppe genannt als eine geschtzte ethnokulturelle Gruppe deren Sprache und Kultur staatlich untersttzt und gefrdert wird. Die nordfriesische Sprache ein Zweig des Friesischen ist ein wichtiger Identifikationsfaktor fr diese Gruppe und wird heute noch von etwa 10. 000 Menschen aktiv gesprochen.
