The charity provides an annual series of lectures on local history, exhibitions of photographs, organizes trips to places of historic importance and takes part in several conferences in the area. We hold, bi-annually, a very successful open day, in conjunction with the new borough museum.

Welcome. Caerphilly Local History Society was set up in October 1957 with the aim of encouraging interest in the history of the Caerphilly area. To this day the Society isdedicated to the recording researching sharing and preservation of the history of our town and surrounding areas. We hold a series of talks each year on a wide variety of subjects and everyone is welcome to come along we publish our work in our own books and journals and take part local events andexhibitions.
