Stainton Institute Welcome to The Stainton Institute Stainton Chapel The Stainton Institute Committee is delighted to announce that the 17thcentury chapel has been successfully transformed into a vibrant community centre. This historic building once in a dilapidated state now serves as a hub for community activities in Stainton and the South Lakes thanks to the generous support from various charitable organisations and grant funders. Significant contributions came from Cumbria County Council via the Neighbourhood Forum the Energy Efficient Village Hall Programme and numerous charitable trusts including Cumbria Community Foundation The Harold and Alice Bridges Trust South Lakeland District Council the Lupton Towers Trust the Baldoukie Charitable Trust and many other Charitable Trusts Community Support and Venue Availability The hall provides a highquality venue for local events and activities. It is available for hire for events Clubs private meetings workshops and group meetings Weddings and Anniversarys celebrations ChildrensBirthday parties private functions funeral teas and other functions and events when not previously booked.
