Children in Kenya – Helping and Educating Children in Kenya
The purpose of CHinK (Children in Kenya) is to provide and run a school in Mtwapa, Mombasa. The aim of CHinK and its school is to educate and care for over 200 very poor and needy children from the age of 3. Many of the children are from destitute families hit particularly hard by the world-wide economic crisis; some are orphaned.

We encounter a whirlwind of emotions on our first trip. It broke our hearts to walk hand in hand with the orphans saying so many times Jambo hello then watching them leave a small school seeing them disappear into the bush knowing that they were going home to lonely houses some with no parents. This moving experience started us on our long journey.
