Escaping Victimhood is a charity that provides unique, supportive residential workshops for victims of crime. We support people who have suffered the trauma of serious crime by providing a 4-day residential We run residential, experiential workshops for those who have been affected by serious crime so that they can begin to place their experience into the context of their lives and be able to choose to restore past roles and relationships. Through this work we hope to inform other groups and agencies about the potential to meet the unmet needs of victims of serious crimes.

Registered charity no 1121708 Workshop Programme We continue to work to fully resume our regular programme of workshops working closely with the National Homicide Service and our funders. We have held two residential workshops in 2024 and look forward to organising further programmes in 2025. As Woodbrooke which had been a regular home for our residential workshop programme over many years ceased to operate as a conference venue last year we have moved to a new regular venue in Sheffield Kenwood Hall. This has proved to be a great location with ideal facilities and lovely staff who have made us very welcome and at home.
