Welcome to the Rural Africa Childrens Education Trust. The Rural Africa Childrens Education Trust was founded in 2008 in Sevenoaks Kent to enable children and young people in rural villages in Cross River State Nigeria to attend secondary school and further education through financial support from sponsors and families in the UK. The children and young people supported by RACET come from families struggling to make a living from subsistence farming of yams and cassava. Tragically many of the communities we work with have suffered the loss of family members during the intertribal conflict in 2005 and which still flares periodically to this day.
