To advance the education of the public in general and particularly, amongst professional and amateur historians, architects and archaeologists and local communities on the subject of pre-1750 buildings in North Wales, where possible using dendrochronology (tree ring dating); and to promote research into the history of such buildings by volunteers and specialists; and to publish the results.

Discovering Old Welsh Houses studies and celebrates the traditional houses of North Wales built between the 1400s and the mid 1700s and the lives of the people who lived in them. We have six active branches that hold meetings and arrange visits on a regular basis.
