Sponsoring the training of local health professionals in the developing world About the charity We believe that the best way to help healthcare prospects in rural areas of the developing world is by sponsoring local individuals to undergo professional healthcare training in their own country. We aim to work in partnership with rural communities who want to develop the health care in their villages and we do this in partnership with SHUMAS Cameroon an established local NGO Non Governmental Organisation based in Bamenda Cameroon. Our current project is to sponsor nurse training to state registered nurse level 3 years in Cameroon West Africa. This approach is endorsed by the WHOs World Health Report 2010 Increasing Access to Health Workers in Remote and Rural Areas through Improved Retention.
