Yoga Mission – Educating and transforming the lifestyle of needy children in India
The Charity supports an educational mission for underprivileged children in Varanassi, India. The charity currently targets 4 areas of education: 1) Kindergarten, Years 1 to 6 with c 210 children 2) a boarding school for 50 boys from 8 to 18 years. 3) An after school with c 175 children registered, 4) Sewing centre to teach seamstress skills for 50 women.

An Insight of the Yoga Mission The Yoga Mission is a charitable organisation running educational projects in Varanasi India. Varanasi is a city situated in Uttar Pradesh which is one of four Indian states which the UN has declared to be poorer than the 40 poorest African countries added together. The Yoga Mission does not simply provide children with literacy skills we offer a stable nurturing environment for children who for many reasons are in need. An alarming report by UNESCO recently concluded that 90 of Indian children are illiterate even those who attend staterun schools.
