We are the only such organisation which is wholly run by qualified and ordained Jewish rabbis and Muslim imams and scholars as full trustees of the charity with no lay or unqualified officers or interfaith politicians more . The Imams and Rabbis Council of the United Kingdom was founded in 2009 following the Historic Mission of European Imams and Rabbis to the United States and is the only such national body of Jewish and Muslim clergy and scholars which is internationally recognised as a full member of the World Congress for Jewish Muslim Cooperation founded by the Foundation for Ethnic Understanding in the United States. The Board of Trustees of the Imams and Rabbis Council consists of senior Jewish and Muslim clergy and scholars and the registered charity is a full member also of the Inter Faith Network for the United Kingdom the All Faiths Network for the United Kingdom and the Scriptures in Dialogue Academic Collaboration of Jewish Muslim and Christian theological colleges and academic institutions more .
