We monitor barn owl and bat nesting sites and where necessary provide nesting boxes or partial renovation of buildings to protect the nest.We also provide illustrated talks and field walks to educate the public.2014-2015 we received a Heritage Lottery Fund grant to enable us to put cameras in all our boxes in order to monitor barn owls with the least disturbance. About Our Association POWYS SPECIESHABITAT ASSOCIATION is committed to the conservation of local wildlife by monitoring barn owl and bat nesting sites. We step in with nesting boxes or partial building renovations when necessary ensuring the safety and sustainability of these species. In 20142015 we were awarded a Heritage Lottery Fund grant which allowed us to install cameras in our nesting boxes enabling us to monitor barn owls with minimal disturbance.
