BEWL Water Joint Scout and Guide Ad Hoc Committee

Courses emphasise safety and enjoyment, requiring participants aged 11 and over (as of 31 August each year) to demonstrate swimming proficiency of 50 metres in light clothing. Camping and Facilities

Camping facilities are available for participants, with pitches offered for Friday and Saturday nights. Scouts must adhere to the Scout Association’s Nights Away Permit Scheme when using these facilities. Toilets and washing amenities are provided, and a limited number of campervan spaces are available upon prior arrangement.

Governance and Compliance

The committee operates in strict accordance with risk assessments and safety protocols aligned with national governing bodies. Activities are restricted to Scouts, Guides, and affiliated leaders/adult helpers, excluding participation from the general public. Leaders attending independently may also partake in activities without accompanying youth groups.
