Evergreen Sleaford
The Befriending Scheme provides simple genuine friendships for those aged 70 or over from committed and caring people willing to give an hour or so a week to their befriendee. The charity responds to the high demand for community-based opportunities for social contact amongst older people so as to reduce and prevent the isolation experienced by many people as they grow into old age.

Welcome toEvergreen Sleaford A befriending scheme for the elderly Evergreen Sleaford aims to respond to the high demand for communitybased opportunities for social contact amongst older people by providing a simple friendship. Each friendship is a commitment between one volunteer befriender and the service user. This is a free and confidential service supporting senior citizens in making the most of their life experience into old age. We believe that simple committed friendships may reduce and prevent the isolation experienced by those who may not have family close by or friends and neighbours for mutual support particularly through failing health andor bereavement.
