Nile Swimmers – Advocating to prevent drowning across Africa.
Drowning kills hundreds of thousands of people a year - primarily in the developing world. Nile Swimmers works to reduce deaths from drowning in Africa. We provide training to local people to teach swimming, and to deliver water safety education. We actively conduct research, build international partnerships, and provide a perspective and a voice from low-income countries.

Nile Swimmers Programmes Suspended Due to the war in Sudan the Nile Swimmers team have no choice but to completely suspend all of our programmes. We are heartbroken. Since 2007 we have worked to prevent drowning in Sudan teaching over 400000 children to be safer around water. We are so proud of our team and what we have achieved in the last 15 years.
