Home-Start Teignbridge has been operating since 1989, supporting families who are struggling to cope with a variety of child-related challenges, including post-natal illness, budgeting, disability, isolation, bereavement and multiple births. The purpose of Home-Start Teignbridge is:1) To safeguard, protect and preserve the good health, both mental and physical of children and their parents2) To prevent cruelty to or maltreatment of children3) To relieve sickness, poverty and need amongst children and parents of children4) To promote the education of the public in better standards of child care within the area of Teignbridge.

A Helping Hand For Parents When They Need it Most Because Childhood Cant Wait Welcome to HomeStart Teignbridge HomeStart Teignbridge offers a unique service recruiting and training volunteers who are usually parents themselves to support families who have a young children to offer informal friendly and confidential support. Our volunteers have several ways of supporting families via home visiting telephone and Zoom. Volunteers also meet families outside the home at our local libraries cafes and local parks including Decoy Country Park and Stover Country Park. In addition to this HomeStart Teignbridge runs a much valued parentgrandparent and toddler group every week during termtime.
