We are a local group of the world wide organisation 'University of the Third Age' dedicated to lifelong learning for people who are in retirement. We learn in a collaborative way, sharing knowledge, skills and experiences over a vast range of subjects. We have interest groups run by members in a wide range of academic, cultural, leisure and social activities.

Burton Joyce District Welcome to the Website of Burton Joyce and District u3a Im Alan Comerie the current Chairman. If you have any queries after browsing our website please call me on 0300 102 1383. The u3a is a friendly network of over 1000 groups across the UK created for people who are no longer working fulltime to meet up socialize and learn just for the fun of it. Its all run by volunteers and we can only offer as much as our members are willing to get involved but you might be surprised by just how much that is.
