Leigh and District - u3a in Leigh Lancashire including Atherton, Tyldesley, Astley, Lowton, Golborne, Culcheth, Westhoughton providing educational, recreational and leisure activities for retired and semi-retired people
We offer educational services to our members by providing accommodation and support to groups of members wishing to pursue topics of interest. Members are retired/ semi retired people in Leigh and surrounding area. The groups are organised by the members themselves.We also have bi-monthly general meetings with speakers on a variety of educational subjects and access to current information.

u3a Leigh and District Welcome to Leigh and District u3a formed in 2013 and expanding all the time. Our u3a is centred in Leigh Lancashire or Greater Manchester if you prefer and includes Atherton Tyldesley Astley Lowton Golborne Culcheth Westhoughton and other areas. We provide Educational Recreational and Leisure Activities for retired and semiretired people or indeed anyone who is no longer in full time employment and we now have over 450 members. There are no age limits or obstacles to joining.
