Home Donate More THE POLE POLE FOUNDATION What the Democratic Republic of Congo DRC may lack in monetary wealth it makes up for with the riches that reside in the UNESCO world heritage site KahuziBiega National Park KBNP. This diverse ecosystem is a sacred home to the worlds largest and most threatened primates the Eastern Lowland Gorillas. KBNP is one of the few places in the world where humans can see these gorillas in the wild to experience the indepth human communication with one of our closest cousins in the wild with whom we share around 98 of our DNA. The survival of the critically endangered gorillas alongside a rich diversity of wildlife species and their environmental refuge depend on the KBNP communities and rangers who are supported by the Pole Pole foundation.
