HBTSR HELPS PEOPLE SEEKING ASYLUM/REFUGE BY PROVIDING THEM WITH OUTINGS TO THE COUNTRYSIDE FOR LEISURE, FRIENDSHIP AND SKILL EXCHANGE. WE HELP OUR OWN LOCAL COMMUNITIES TO MEET PEOPLE FROM OTHER CULTURES AND BE ENRICHED BY THIS. WE SPEAK PUBLICLY AND RAISE FUNDS. WE APPROACH LOCAL ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES TO IMPROVE POLICY AND SUPPORT.WE PROVIDE SOME EXPERT ASSISTANCE AND COLLECT GOODS.

Hay Brecon and Talgarth Sanctuary for Refugees HBTSR formed in September 2015 as the global refugee crisis escalated. We joined City of Sanctuary soon afterwards. We are a registered charity No 1173570 We are a member of Together with Refugees Coalition and also Lift the Ban Coalition. We are a group of volunteers we have no paid workers welcoming people seeking sanctuary raising funds to help them and encouraging our political representatives to put policies in place for a kind and fair immigration system.
