The Methodist Church held its final service at the Park Road Church on August 25, 2013, and The Heritage Chapel and Halls began operating as an independent church on September 1, 2013[4].

Initially managed as a Limited Company, The Heritage Chapel and Halls transitioned to a Registered Charity in 2017. The charity worked in conjunction with the Limited Company to raise funds for purchasing the building. With assistance from a grant from East Northamptonshire Council, the charity successfully acquired the property in early 2018[4].
