Raising awareness of Sickle Cell disease Sickle cell disease is the fastest growing genetically inherited condition in the UK. Today over 17000 adults in the UK are living with the condition. From its inception 8 years ago Sicklekan started life as just an Instagram page. Its now grown to become one of the first British platforms for sickle cell patients to share their stories.
