CIS'ters (setup 1995): provides emotional support 4 females (18+) who, as female children, were sexually abused by member/s of their immediate/extended family. CISters is a survivor led specialist service for females aged 18 or over who, as female children, were sexually abused/exploited by a member of their immediate and/or extended family. We offer female survivors the opportunity to meet other women in a group context and within an empowerment model. Meetings vary in type/focus and include an Annual Residential Weekend Workshop. We meet in Hampshire.

menu CISters Mission Statement Rape sexual abuse and sexual exploitation of children is endemic within our society. Society and individuals within it need to become more aware of the prevalence and impact of such crimes on victims and take responsibility for the prevention and detection of such abuse and the facilitation of recovery processes. Our mission is to raise awareness of the existence of sexual abuse during childhood to highlight the needs of Survivors and provide information to those directly and indirectly affected. CISterswas set up in September 1995 by Gillian a female survivor of childhood sexual abuse by a member of her immediate family.
