Providing a model for a supportive community for people with dementia The main activity in the first year of operation has been to gather knowledge and make contacts with a view to being well informed about building practices in order to to build an eco dementia village. We are beginning a fundraising campaign and applying for funding from Government and Charitable funds.

We provide a model for a supportive community for people with dementia. Holistic care Focusing on quality of life emotional occupational social needs as well as functional medical care and where possible structuring accommodation in small households. Connected to the Community Working closely with the local community promotes dementia friendly attitudes and so maintains connectivity for the people living in the Josie Home. Helping the planet We have a sustainable approach to design construction and operation aiming to be carbon neutral from the outset so that the Josie Home is resilient to climate change and sits gently on the land.
