Gillingham DofE
The Open Award Centre delivers all levels of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award in Gillingham North Dorset, under the DofE operating licence held by Dorset Council. Membership is open to any young person from the age of 14 to 25 years old. It is led entirely by volunteers and fund raises in order to fulfil operating needs and to enable unrestricted access to the programme regardless of income.

Gillingham DofE Home The Duke of Edinburghs Award is the worlds leading youth achievement award for 1424 yearolds with over 545000 young people currently doing their DofE in the UK. Any young person aged 1424 can take part with the deadline for activities being the 25th birthday although the goal for Bronze and Silver is to complete in a year. Young people doing their DofE programme complete volunteering physical and skills activities and an expedition to achieve Bronze and Silver Awards plus a residential section to achieve a Gold Award. Where age requirements are met Direct Entry is possible to the Silver or Gold Award without completing previous levels.
