Established in April 2019 Moorlands Voluntary and Community Transport is a Registered Charity that aims to support residents of the Staffordshire Moorlands who are struggling to get out and about whether that be to meet friends in a social setting or to attend a vital medical appointment. Being part of the local community means we are aware of the issues that people in rural and semirural communities face having to travel a significant distance for many amenities including doctors surgeries and hospitals along with a lack of regular public transport. Combine this with the high number of older people in the area and you have a significant number of residents who require support.
