Located on the left-hand side of Mevagissey's fabulous inner fishing harbour the Mevagissey Museum is listed as the area's top attraction on Trip Advisor and is free for all.
The Museum houses a number of collections of local interest. The museum has a collection of exhibits and photographs depicting life in a fishing village from the 1800s. It is set in part of a former boat building yard dating back to 1745. The collection depicts life in a Cornish fishing village from the 1800s. There are translations available in several languages to help overseas visitors with their understanding of the museum.
