Stour Health and Wellbeing Partnership

The Stour Health and Wellbeing Partnership is a community-led charity based in the Stour area of Warwickshire, focusing on enhancing the health and wellbeing of local residents. Established in December 2019, it became a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) in November 2020, with the charity registration number 1192236.

The primary mission of the Stour Health and Wellbeing Partnership is to improve the health and wellbeing of all residents in the Stour area through collaborative working among various organisations and individuals. It aims to bring together different stakeholders across the Stour Valley to support every resident in achieving a better quality of life and longevity by enhancing health and wellbeing.

The Partnership develops comprehensive health and wellbeing strategies and action plans, focusing on priorities identified by the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) and the Warwickshire Health and Wellbeing strategy. It encourages partnership working between the NHS and other health and wellbeing providers.

Partnerships and Community Engagement

The Stour Health and Wellbeing Partnership has built strong relationships with over 50 organisations and individuals in the area, including Warwickshire County Council, Warwickshire Public Health, Healthwatch, Stratford-on-Avon District Council, Shipston Town Council, and others. This collaboration allows for a more cohesive approach to addressing local health and wellbeing needs.

Financial Overview

As of the financial year ending December 31, 2023, the Partnership received income from several government grants, totaling £30,862. It currently has seven trustees and three volunteers contributing to its operations.

The charity operates under a robust governance framework, with policies in place for financial management, risk management, and safeguarding, among others. This structure ensures transparency and accountability in its activities.

Recent Developments

The Partnership recently secured funding from the National Lottery and local health sources, enabling it to establish its first paid staff team. It is currently recruiting a Chief Executive to lead this new chapter in the charity's development. This expansion highlights the growing importance of the Partnership in community health initiatives.
