Operations and Activities

The trust operates primarily through grant-making, providing advocacy, advice, and information to support its mission. It works throughout England, Northern Ireland, and Scotland. The charity does not have trading subsidiaries, and none of its trustees receive any remuneration or benefits from the organization. The financial operations are managed with strict internal controls and policies, including those related to trustee expenses and conflicts of interest.

As of the latest available financial reports, the trust's total income for the year ending October 2023 was £2,111, with total expenditures amounting to £45. This financial overview highlights the trust's minimal operational costs and focus on funding research initiatives.

Governance and Recognition

The Vizsla Health Trust is recognized by HMRC for gift aid and adheres to policies regarding internal financial controls, social media, and trustee conflicts of interest. It does not own or lease any land or property. The trust has a transparent registration history with the Charity Commission.

Public Impact

The trust's efforts aim to improve the health and welfare of Hungarian Vizslas by supporting relevant scientific research and providing necessary guidance. This approach not only benefits the breed but also contributes to broader discussions on animal health and genetics within the UK and beyond.
