To take in sick, injured and orphaned hedgehogs, and either release healthy hedgehog back to the wild or have them put to sleep. Provide advise to the general public and other hedgehog rehabilitators. To educate where possible.

The hedgehog is Britains most loved wild animal Hedgehog Welfare Over the last sixty years Britains hedgehog population has dwindled dramatically from some 50 million to less than one million. The hogs natural habitat is being destroyed on the rural landscape as well as household gardens. To help this muchlove mammal to survive renowned conservationist Janet Peto started Hedgehog Welfare and it has now been running for more than 30 years. The charity registered in 2021 takes in sick hedgehogs and nurses them back to health before releasing them into the wild.
