The Oxford Sanskrit Text Society The Oxford Sanskrit Text Society is a global initiative to facilitate diffusion dissemination and appreciation of the corpus of Sanskrit texts from VedicHindu Buddhist and Jain intellectual traditions and the belles lettres canonical or noncanonical in the Sanskrit original and their modern translations mainly in English and Hindi. The STS fosters and facilitates diffusion dissemination and appreciation of a wideranging corpus of Sanskrit texts from VedicHindu Bauddha and Jaina intellectual traditions canonical or noncanonical in the Sanskrit original and their modern translations mainly in English and in special cases also in major Asian languages such as Hindi. Overview Sanskrit Text Society STS is established at Oxford with the support of Sanskrit connoisseurs enthusiasts and scholars specializing in various traditional knowledge systems of India. The STS fosters and facilitates diffusion dissemination and appreciation of a wideranging corpus of Sanskrit texts from VedicHindu Bauddha and Jaina intellectual traditions.
