Spear Bristol - Supporting Young People Into Work
Bristol Spear oversees the running of the Spear Centre in Bristol. In joint venture partnership with Resurgo Trust, Bristol Spear runs a free twelve-month programme beginning with an intensive six-week foundation phase aimed at getting disadvantaged young people (16-24) year olds ready for work, followed by support to find work or relevant further training.

Supporting young people into work The vision We are on a mission to transform the lives of up to 90 young people facing challenging circumstances in Bristol each year giving them the support skills and confidence they need to get into work or reenter education and begin to build a future filled with hope. Inspiring employment Why we exist Almost 2 million young people live in poverty in Britain today. Young people are twice as likely to have lost a job amid the pandemic than older workers with a third of 18to24yearolds having lost jobs or been furloughed. We believe young people hold huge amounts of talent and we want to help them to thrive and find their place in work or education.
