Middlesex Federation of Womens InstitutesMFWI Inspiring Women Middlesex Federation of Women039s Institutes Welcome to the Middlesex Federation of WIs Since it was formed in 1915 the Womens Institute has operated as a charitable organisation and individual members have taken an active part in society. With a strong sometimes outspoken campaigning focus to provide women with a voice with education and useful skills theres lot of opportunities for every women to find something theyre interested in. Middlesex Federation was formed in April 1921 and is home to 42 individual Womens Institutes each of which holds monthly meetings on a wide variety of topics and will be involved in other activities which could include craft groups campaigning walking book clubs in fact almost anything the members want. Each individual WI is a local charity whilst the Middlesex Federation of WIs MFWI is the umbrella organisation that coordinates some activities and provides an additional link to the National Federation NFWI.
