NYFTE - The National Youth Folklore Troupe of England
NYFTE gives young people (aged 10 to 18) from across England the opportunity to perform a variety of English folk dance traditions, folk songs and music to a high standard. NYFTE's performances can be seen at festivals, ceilidhs, workshops and other public events and we aim to promote the understanding of, participation in and enjoyment of traditional English dances, music and song to everyone.

Welcome to NYFTE. The National Youth Folklore Troupe of England NYFTE pronounced Nifty is a talented group of young people aged 10 18 with a passion for traditional music song and dance. The group whose membersrepresent all the regions withinEngland come together in the spring toput together their repertoire for that yearand then travel tolocations across Englandperforming at events in a variety of ways including ceilidhs displays and concerts. The repertoire represents many English traditions some popular and some less well known.
