To preserve and protect the health of those caring for or nursing people with physical, mental or sensory impairment, within the family or home in South American countries, with particular focus on the Republic of Colombia. In particular but not exclusively assisting in the provision of respite services and other support activities.

The Caregivers Support Trust The Caregivers Support Trust Unpaid family caregivers are an invisible community. We are committed to make visible the invisible role of these carers in South America countries and are focussing currently on Colombia. These caregivers are often unable to take time away from caring making it difficult to take a break from their caring role This may be because they do not have anyone else to take over or that they feel guilty or worried about leaving the person they care for. Unpaid carers miss out on opportunities for leisure recreation socialising and personal development.
