Deshantari of Ottawa Carleton is a nonprofit cultural and charitable organization set up by the local Bengali Community in 1972. We play a vital role in promoting Bengali culture fostering friendships and enhancing community awareness among both Bengalis and the broader multicultural society. Through cultural events such as Durga Puja Pohela Boishakh Bengali New Year annual picnic and literary gatherings the organization preserves and shares the rich heritage of Bengal. It also engages younger generations and keep traditions alive.
