The college is also recognized for its applied research strengths, particularly in Indigenous education and the mining sector. It features a state-of-the-art Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) Lab, which supports the development and testing of electric vehicle technologies[5].
Campus and Student Life
Cambrian's main campus is in Sudbury, with additional satellite sites in Espanola and on Manitoulin Island[5]. The college supports a diverse student body, including over 600 Indigenous students and more than 2,680 international students[5].
Indigenous Education and Cultural Initiatives
Cambrian is a national leader in Indigenous education. The Wabnode Centre for Indigenous Services provides cultural and social support to Indigenous students, alongside implementing various cultural ceremonies throughout the campus[5]. The college was the first in Ontario to collaborate with the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation at the University of Manitoba.

The Glenn Crombie Centre for Accessibility, Counselling and Wellness offers a range of services for students, including special accommodations, counselling, and assistive technology[5].
