GLOBALFIRE originated as an operational arm of the David McAntony Gibson Foundation (DMGF), also known as GlobalMedic. The foundation was established in 1998 in honor of David McAntony Gibson. GLOBALFIRE gained standalone charitable status on June 1, 2014.
