Vancouver Emergency Community Telecommunications Organization

In the event of a disaster or emergency, VECTOR provides critical backup communications services for the City of Vancouver. The organization also plays a role in helping other areas coordinate community responses during local disasters and supports communication for complex public events.

Membership and Training

Membership in VECTOR is open to both licensed amateur radio operators and those interested in emergency communications who may not hold a license.
