The Federation of Music Festivals of Nova Scotia coordinates and supports the work of seven local competitive music festivals for young amateur musicians. Annually the Federation arranges a Provincial Music Festival that provides three levels of live solo competitions for piano voice strings guitar woodwinds brass and musical theatre. There are also competitions for smallchamber groups. The Federation also arranges a virtual festival for composers bands orchestras and choral groups.
