Glen Cameron for Kids Co-operative Day Care Inc. is a Canadian nonprofit community-based child care organization located within Cameron Public School. Established in 1985, the Centre has been providing quality child care services designed to foster a nurturing environment that supports the development of children aged 2½ to 12 years across social, physical, emotional, cognitive, and creative domains.

History and Location
Since its founding, Glen Cameron for Kids has operated in collaboration with Cameron Public School, occupying exclusive use of two large classrooms and sharing four additional rooms with the school. The Centre also has access to the school’s gymnasium and resource centre. Outdoor play areas include a secure, fenced playground for younger children and an adventure playground for school-age children. The Centre benefits from its convenient location near public transportation, parks, libraries, and other community facilities.

Programs
Glen Cameron for Kids offers a range of programs tailored to different age groups and developmental needs:

• Preschool Program: For children aged 2½ to 4 years, operating full days with nutritious snacks and hot lunches following Canada's Food Guide.
• Kindergarten Program: Provides before and after school care with full-day care offered at no additional cost on Professional Development Days and during March Break.
• School-Age Program: Serves children in Grades 1 to 5 with before and after school care, including full days on Professional Development Days and March Break at no extra cost.

The Centre emphasizes fostering self-expression, creativity, cooperation, responsibility, self-esteem, language enrichment, social skills, and environmental awareness.

Operational Details
The child care operates Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., excluding statutory holidays. The Centre accepts a limited number of children and offers various fee structures that include snacks and meals. It participates in the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care system and offers a variety of dietary accommodations including gluten-free, halal, kosher, organic, peanut-free, pork-free, vegan, and vegetarian options.

Community and Support
Staff at Glen Cameron for Kids speak multiple languages, including Arabic, French, Hebrew, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Persian (Farsi), Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Turkish, and Ukrainian, reflecting the diversity of the community served. The Centre works closely with Toronto Children's Services and the Every Child Belongs Resource Consultation to support families and children, particularly those with extra support needs.
