A ses debuts la Societe uvre principalement dans la region de StSebastien o elle etablit son sige social. Elle sactive dans la recherche et la documentation de lhistoire des familles fondatrices et produit des publications telles Memoire dun Pionnier Images de ma vie et autres documents et repertoires genealogiques ou patrimoniaux. En mai 2007 considerant la distribution geographique de ses membres elle modifie son nom et souvre sur la MRC du Granit.
