Unionville Baptist Church

History

The church that is now known as Unionville Baptist Church began its journey with its inaugural service on November 12, 1950, in Steve and Mary's Dance Hall on Steeles Avenue at Kennedy Road in Toronto. Over the years, the congregation has undergone several changes and relocations. Construction on a new church building began on May 16, 1952, and after several years of worshiping in temporary spaces, the new church, initially named Milliken Baptist Church, was officially opened on November 9, 1959. In 1985, the congregation purchased a new building in Markham from Unionville Alliance Church and officially changed its name to Unionville Baptist Church. Two daughter churches, Bayfair Baptist Church in Pickering and Wallace Memorial Baptist Church in Scarborough, originated from this congregation.

Programs and Services

Unionville Baptist Church offers a mix of worship services and community programs:
