Nampa Gospel Fellowship

Nampa Gospel Fellowship is a Canadian nonprofit organization and Evangelical Christian church located in the town of Nampa, Alberta. It operates under the umbrella of the Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada (EMCC) and is registered as a charitable organization with the Canada Revenue Agency (Business Registration Number: 119050524RR0001).

History

The church was formally reopened in the fall of 1993 under the EMCC after an earlier period of activity in the region. At an organizational meeting in October 1993, the name "Nampa Gospel Fellowship" was adopted to reflect the church’s mission and community focus. Prior to this reopening, the early gatherings were held in a granary and later a small structure, primarily serving a Ukrainian-speaking congregation. The first local minister was Harry Novak, a farmer deeply committed to Bible study, who served until 1986.

From 1993 until 2009, Pastor Doug Engel provided pastoral leadership. Following his resignation, Pastor Dan Sandford initially served in a supply capacity before becoming the full-time pastor in July 2010.

Mission and Activities

Nampa Gospel Fellowship aims to foster a family-like community where individuals can grow both personally and spiritually. The church’s primary desire is to see people develop a passionate love for God and be transformed into the likeness of Christ. Activities include weekly Sunday worship services and Sunday school programs catering to all age groups from pre-school children to adults.
