History

Historically, the site where Calvary Temple was once located at 400 Hargrave Street in Winnipeg was initially home to the First Baptist Church. This building was constructed in 1894 and served the Baptist community until 1939, when it was sold to a Pentecostal group. The Pentecostals reopened the building as Calvary Temple in the late 1930s. By the mid-1970s, a larger facility was built next door to accommodate the growing congregation. The original building was eventually demolished in 1985 to make way for a new educational facility.

Today, Calvary Temple continues to offer a caring environment for all members of the community. Alongside regular worship services, the church encourages community engagement through various programs and resources, such as access to Bible studies, videos, and podcasts.
