Australia's first Proton Therapy Centre: A landmark facility for advanced radiation oncology and res The Australian Bragg Centre for Proton Therapy Research Limited (the Centre) was established on 24 March 2020, and is a notforprofit entity and is controlled by SAHMRI Ltd. The entity will provide a focal point for research of international calibre into the treatment of cancer, a major cause of illness in Australia. The Centre is expected to be the first proton therapy centre in Australia and will deliver advanced precision cancer treatment to Australian patients, about half of which are expected to be children and young adults.
